About

Pasara Display operates on a rational form model with closed apertures, vertical stress axis, and the dramatic stroke contrast characteristic of the Didone tradition. Its construction follows Bodoni's mathematical precision—hairline serifs, ball terminals, and extreme thick-thin modulation that creates stark typographic drama on the page. The letterforms maintain classical proportions with a moderate x-height, but the fine hairlines and delicate serifs immediately signal display intentions. This face belongs to the late 18th-century rational revival, carrying forward Firmin Didot's legacy of optical refinement and geometric perfection. Pasara excels in large sizes where its contrast can breathe and its details remain crisp, but breaks down catastrophically below 18 points as hairlines disappear and counters close up. It brings an authoritative, luxurious personality to headlines—the kind of sophisticated drama that whispers "prestige" rather than shouting it.
